Keyan Choo is an experienced Associate Director in Fortis Law. His principal areas of practice are in dispute resolution and private client matters with a focus on civil litigation. Keyan graduated with a Bachelor of Laws (Honours) from the University of Bristol and was admitted as an Advocate and Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Singapore in 2015.

Keyan’s experience in dispute resolution is mainly focused on civil litigation. He has acted for a diverse range of clients ranging from individuals to multinational corporations in a wide spectrum of disputes such as breach of contract claims, shareholders disputes, tortious claims, disputes over estates, enforcement proceedings, defamation claims, land encroachment claims, personal injury claims, general insurance claims and complex debt recovery (bulk debt recovery work, debt recovery against debtors under judicial management and scheme of arrangement etc.). 

Keyan has acted in and handled a variety of contentious and non-contentious private client matters for both local and international clients, including family disputes, divorce, mediation, estate planning, applications for deputyship, applications for Grant of Probate and Letters of Administration, drafting of Wills, Lasting Power of Attorneys, Power of Attorneys, representing and advising executors or administrators in the accounting and distribution of estates, advising on transfer of local assets to foreign jurisdictions etc. 

Keyan also has experience in general corporate work including the drafting and review of loan agreements, shareholder agreements, employment contracts, service contracts, tenancy agreements etc. 

Keyan graduated with a Bachelor of Laws (Honours) from the University of Bristol and was admitted as an Advocate and Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Singapore in 2015. He is fluent in English and Mandarin.
