He began his practice at a local boutique firm where he cut his teeth in general litigation, and subsequently joined one of the leading local insurance litigation firms in Singapore where he acted for many major insurance companies before joining Fortis Law Corporation.

Nicholas has a broad practice which involves corporate, commercial, civil, management corporation / strata title and family disputes. His work includes personal injury, accident and various general insurance claims, contractual claims, commercial and property disputes, bankruptcy and insolvency, debt recovery, employment, and defamation. Nicholas has also represented clients in Coroner’s inquiries, criminal matters, applications under the Mental Capacity Act (Cap. 177A), adoption, matters involving Wills, Trust and Probate, as well as matrimonial disputes.

Nicholas has represented individuals and small to large corporations in trials at all levels of the judiciary, as well as in arbitration and mediation. He was also a contributing editor of the 2015 and 2016 editions of the Singapore Civil Procedure, which is the leading civil procedure text in Singapore.

With his broad experience in dispute resolution, Nicholas takes pride in advising and crafting practical legal solutions to resolve various disputes encountered by his clients.
